Every now and then when you feel like you are stuck in time and place, it’s about time to have a change. I think everybody should have their own happy place, a place you can escape to when things are becoming crazy and just too much. A happy place can be your favorite cafe, your favorite book store or just the park around the corner; the options are limitless.

My happy place unfortunately happens to be a few hours away from Tokyo hence I can’t frequent it as often as I would like to. However, there is a beautiful place close to Tokyo called ENOSHIMA (you can read my post about it here). I can spend hours sitting on these rocks, looking over the ocean and breathing in the ocean air with a hint of salt.
She found her happy place.

The waves were too strong and the water depth too high, so we couldn’t climb on the big rock plate as usually but despite the warnings I still climbed over some of the higher rocks to get a little closer to the water. I’m a bad role model. Just a few minutes later people recognized me sitting on these rocks, and followed me (FOLLOWING MI!) and eventually a group of people gathered, haha.

I used to keep my happy place(s) to myself but I think sharing is caring, and who knows, maybe the person you invite to your happy place has not yet found his or hers yet.

Everybody has a different place they call “home” or their “happy place” – but most importantly, everyone should have a happy place! Stay happy, stay positive. Mi

Enoshima, a happy place for humans and animals.
