A great benefit of my current work is that I get to travel and explore more of Asia.
This time I was fortunate enough to travel to Singapore. It was my first time on the small island of Singapore and I heard so many great things about it including its reputation of serving extremely tasty food. Hands down - Singaporean food is very good and above all extremely versatile and spicy all at once. Too bad I can't really handle too spicy food despite my Asian roots (my Taiwanese friends are teaching me, though haha). It didn't stop me from trying it anyway, and along with that I found a new drink I can officially add to my list of favorites: BARLEY. (grain water; perfectly to get rid of the heat and spices)
The usual suspects and airport attire.
Ever since my friend introduced me to Pocari Sweat in Tokyo I frequent it every now and then. It's really refreshing and has no bubbles, which I prefer.
I arrived late at night in Singapore. I was kind of nervous because everyone kept telling me how hot Singaporean weather is, but the weather was just perfect when I woke up next morning. The perfect weather to be honest !
You know you're on a vacation spot when there are palm trees.
View of the Orchard Blvd.
Skyscrapers and modern architecture everywhere.
I found a fruit stand where they had lots of fresh juices and shakes. After studying the menu for what felt like 20 minutes, I decided to start the day with fresh avocado milk. I came back for lunch to try some fresh watermelon juice later. I still don't understand why we don't have watermelon juice in Germany...or do we?
Before I went to the airport we all went out together for dinner. Someone suggested seafood and we ended up at this place called crab in da bag at Big Splash where they literally spread a bucket full of seafood onto your table. Everyone was wearing a bib and it looked like a battlefield afterwards.

There is a video of it on my Instagram. You can follow me on Instagram if you would like #followingmitosingapore

I am currently in Cebu, Philippines #followingmitocebu for a couple of days before flying to Singapore again therefore, I would really appreciate if anyone has some tips for me WHERE to go, WHAT to see and most importantly spots to eat and drink in Singapore !
