I was looking for a right turban a very long time ago. Before I used to use normal silky scarfs or printed scarfs to "fake-turban" but since my hair is straight they always tend to loosen during the day. I was extremely excited when my boyfriend's mother (who has great taste aswell especially when it comes to jewellry!) gave me this turban that she got herself on a trip to Turkey.

I wasn't quite sure first whether I could actually wear the turban. I was thinking about maybe it would represent a certain religious view since some cultures wear a specific type of knot for their turban or headscarf to express their religious view. But when I travelled to Turkey and found similar turbans at the Bazaar I felt relieved that I wouldn't upset anybody.

We spent the whole day at the pool enjoying the weather till I noticed the sun was about to go down when we took the photos. Which is why the lighting is different on the pictures. Even though this background wasn't the prettiest I wanted to catch the last sunbeams.
